The quickest way is our free Google review QR code tool. Pick your shop and tap Copy link. It works on your phone, with no signup.

On a computer, you can also open your Business Profile and choose Read reviews, then Get more reviews, then Copy.

Where customers already look after a visit. Google's help page suggests receipts, thank-you emails and the end of a chat. It adds:

"You can also send review requests through email, WhatsApp message or Facebook post."

Good places:

Use the Instagram app. Profile links can't be added on a computer.

  1. Tap Edit profile, then Links, then Add external link.
  2. Paste your link. Give it a title like "Review us on Google".
  3. Tap Done. You can add up to 5 links.

In a Story, add the Link sticker. Anyone who sees the Story can tap it. Links typed into a caption usually can't be tapped, so write "link in bio".

Your Facebook Page shows one action button. On your Page, open the ··· menu, then Add action button or Edit action button. Pick Learn more, paste your link and save.

Does your button already take bookings? Keep it. Share the link in a post instead, and pin that post to the top of your Page. Facebook now limits link posts for some Pages, so one pinned post beats posting it often.

Yes, once your account has 1,000 followers or a verified business account. Go to Profile, then Edit profile, and tap Add next to Links.

Not there yet? Share the link in your thank-you texts instead.

Is it OK to ask for Google reviews on social media?

Yes. Google suggests it itself, in the quote above. The rules are the same as at the counter:

Google's own words are in our Google review rules guide.

One friendly line. For a thank-you text:

"Thanks for coming in today! If you have a minute, we'd love your honest review: [your link]"

Then tap the link yourself, inside Instagram, Facebook or TikTok. Google may ask you to sign in first. That's normal. Review box not opening? Fix your link here.

Questions owners ask

Should I share the link or the QR code online?

The link. People can't scan a code on their own screen. Keep the QR code for the counter, receipts and take-home cards.

Does the link work inside Instagram and TikTok?

It should. They open links in their own browser, so Google may ask customers to sign in first. Tap it once yourself to check.

Why can't I add a link to my TikTok bio?

TikTok needs 1,000 followers or a verified business account first. Until then, share your link in texts and emails.

Can I offer a discount for a Google review?

No. Google bans rewards for reviews, whatever the rating. One friendly ask, sent to every customer, works better.
