Your Google review link: find it, fix it, test it

Where is my Google review link?
Your review link lives in your Google Business Profile. On a computer, sign in to the Google account that manages your shop. Then go to your Business Profile and choose Read reviews, then Get more reviews, then Copy.
How do I get my Google review QR code on my phone?
Google's own button can't. Google says:
"Currently, reviews QR codes can only be generated on a computer browser, not on mobile devices."
Our free Google review QR code generator works on any phone.
Why is my Google review link not working?
Usually it's one of these:
- Wrong or cut-off link. A Maps share link only opens your profile. Copy the whole link again from Get more reviews.
- Reviews paused. Google can switch off new reviews for a while. If it restricts your profile, it emails you.
- Just merged. After you merge two profiles, Google says reviews "might take a few days" to show.
- Old phone or app. Google suggests customers "update their Maps app to the latest version".
Why does my review link open my profile on an iPhone?
It can happen on some iPhones, and Google's help pages don't explain why. Customers can still leave a review. They tap Reviews, then the stars.
How do I test my review link before I print it?
- Scan it with an iPhone and an Android phone.
- Try a phone that's signed out of Google. It may ask you to sign in first. That's normal.
- Check that the stars and the text box open.
- Print one copy. Scan the paper from where a customer would stand.
What should I print with my review QR code?
- The code, at least 4 cm wide. Black on white, with a clear border.
- No logo in the middle. It can make the code harder to scan.
- One plain line, like "Scan to leave a review". Never ask for 5 stars.
- The right spot: where people pay, facing them.
A code on the counter is fine. See what Google says. Run a salon? Here's what to say at the counter.

Questions owners ask
Can I put my review link in my Instagram bio?
Yes. Use the link, not the QR code, and tap it once to test it. Google also suggests putting it on receipts and in thank-you emails.
Do customers need a Google account to leave a review?
Yes. Google asks them to sign in before they post. If that puts some people off, a free review page lets them review you without one.
Does the QR code from your tool go straight to Google?
Yes. It holds your Google review link itself, with nothing in between. It's free, with no signup.
What happened to Google's marketing kit?
Its old address now sends you to google.com/business. Use Get more reviews in your Business Profile instead.
